The collection includes images of different locations in Iran, which have been taken by the Khayyam satellite in an orbit 500km above the Earth's surface.
The collection of the images was handed over to the president by Minister of Information and Communications Technology Isa Zare’pour on the sidelines of a meeting of the Supreme Council of Space headed by Raisi.
Khayyam is a high-resolution imaging satellite that was successfully sent into orbit in August 2022. It was launched from Kazakhstan’s Baikonur space base on a Russian Soyuz rocket. The satellite collects images from the Earth’s surface with a resolution of one meter.
